This is where it all started for me but times change and now all of my blogging takes place over at my
Quilt Routes blog and I hope you will join me over there.

And Another

The main focus of this piece is a leftover foundation pieced block  from a quilt I completed a few years ago and which can be seen here. Using all the left over scraps from that quilt I have produced this. As the piece represents the sea, sky, sand, fields and fences that I see around me, I have included the shadows of some gulls.

Gees Bend Inspired.

I had some painted bits that I did in a workshop last year and wasn't sure what to do with them. I have only recently discovered the quilts of Gee's Bend ( I know where have I been!) and find it a totally liberating way to work. The truth is I have been working in a similar fashion for some time, feeling guilty and thinking I was being sloppy. BuT No MoRe.
I love this way of working and plan to plough my way through my scraps and make more in this fashion.

Edelweiss Inspired

Edelweiss Inspired, originally uploaded by Quilt Routes.

This has been done for a while but haven't managed the blogging thing for some time.
In the end the piece was so ugly that I chopped it up and turned it into this!
