A look back.

Not much progress so a look back at some old stuff.
Whist doing City and Guilds I did this based on the work of Welsh artist Iwan Bala.

It is based on Ogmore Castle which is 5 minutes down the road from my house.
Seeing this now, I realise how much I have learnt since then and if it was still in my possession I would have to put some stitching on the top!
I think it is a subject that I would like to return to in the future.

I did have more pictures to show you but the internet is not co-operating today and I am beginning to lose the will to live!

  1. Much better than the first quilts I made, lol.
When I do my hand piecing, I don't use paper, still don't get that, lol. I just place the edges together and do tiny running stitches to piece them. I do mark the backs with a 1/4".

  3. Wouldn't it be fun to re-do one of the older quilts? sometimes I look at one of mine and think - how would that look if I would do it again, today? One day I'll give it a try ;-)) Anyway, I like the quilt you show today !!

  4. I love going back to see old quilts I gave as gifts. After the embarrassment wanes, I start to feel greatful about my progressing skills.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I do try to respond to each one but
if you do not hear from me it is probably because you are a "no reply blogger".
