This is where it all started for me but times change and now all of my blogging takes place over at my

Art Quilting Studio

Art Quilting Studio

It seems like an age ago when I was asked if I would like to submit these pieces to Art Quilting Studio magazine from Stampington &Company. My copy has finally arrived and I couldn't be more thrilled.

Art Quilting Studio

I have never actually seen a copy of this magazine before. I don't think it is available to buy in the U.K.
It is actually a very substantial publication filled to the brim with work from many quilters and textile artists.

Art Quilting Studio

I am thrilled to be included in this, not least because of the fact that included in the pages are two quilt artists whose work I have followed and admired from the very beginning of my time spent in blogland.

Gift Giving part two

This is what I received from my friend Cath.

It is not the easiest thing to photograph....

...but I am sure that you can still see and appreciate the amount of work that has gone into this,

Here are some views of one side of the strip. Can you spot the blue hare?

Here are some views of the other side.

I am completely thrilled and overwhelmed that some one would make such an effort to make something like this for me.

Cath wanted me to tell you that she was inspired by this.

Remember these?

textile art

I am trying to 'tidy up' and finish things off before we hit 2014!
After doing this and this I still had some painted fabric samples and after stitching the backgrounds I decided to cut it up to do some smaller pieces.

textile art

These are waiting to have a backing and an edging put on.

textile art

These are still in progress.
It feels good to be completing things and there are lots of other bits that are in the pipe line that also need to be done. Despite this I have started something new as well, so many ideas, so little time.... The progress of that I will be sharing over on Instagram (Link button in top right hand corner). I am enjoying the ability to share quickly and easily, and then carry on with the work.

Linking up with Off the Wall Friday.

My daughter gets home tonight after completing her first term at Uni :D
