Pebbles
A few days ago I showed you some fabric that I was painting in shades of brown. Well here are the finished pieces, pressed and ready to use.
Here are some that I did with quite a lot of black and added gold and copper accents.
I like to use these fabrics for rocks and pebbles. You never get the same markings, as you would with commercially printed fabrics so you end up with realistic looking stones, rocks, pebbles, cliffs!
I have used a variety of these fabrics in my Pebble Stack wall hanging, along with painted sky, sea and sand. The sand in this one is a bit coppery ( I think I was out of yellow the day I did this) But I think it still works as sand comes in many different colours and shades. Today the sand on the beach that I can see from my window is looking quite grey. Roll on Summer!

Yum! Those painted fabrics are delicious! Your stack of stones piece looks like a funky cairn on the beach. Fun!
