Time for some Colour

A colour combination ATC swap from Textile Challenges gave me green and purple, to swap with my friend Pam. The end result looks a bit like noughts and crosses game, although that wasn't my intention. I fancied a bit of hand stitching for a change, as basic as it is.

More painting today.
I was going for more rock, strata colour schemes. These look a bit yellow but will dry a nicer shade I think. I use Pebeo Setacolor Fabric paints, mainly the transparent version. When the fabric is dampened they travel nicely and mix into interesting colours and markings.
Below you can see how I have painted different shades in stripes across the fabric. Scrumpled up and left to dry, it's always interesting to see how they have turned out.
Here are the ones I did yesterday, pressed and ready to go.

  1. Love these fabrics too -- and I've still got to do my ATC. My colors are brown and blue, pale blue. Have an idea already in mind ....

  2. Carol T's blog directed me to you, and what a great find. I have really enjoyed looking through your blog so far, and have added you to my feed so I can carry on doing so. do the setacolours work on any fabrics? and I love the purple/green combo.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I do try to respond to each one but
if you do not hear from me it is probably because you are a "no reply blogger".
