Quilt Routes banner.

Anyone who has been to a quilt show will know that the stalls always have a quilted banner to advertise themselves. I have been told that I have to display my name when I sell at the Quilters Guild AGM at the end of this month, so I thought I had better get on with making one.
My husband offered to do something for me on the computer but my daughter who has been with me to a few shows said, " Oh no. It has to be stitched!"

Above is the background base with painted sky and road or "Route".
I came up with the name QUILT ROUTES because I think that quilting can take you on so many different paths, and we all go off in different directions as we pursue our art.

This is how it looks now with added hills and mountains, that have been fused on, before stitching. I hope I don't ruin it when I start adding the stitch (it's happened before!)
I plan to add lettering across the bottom, but have yet to decide on the colour.
I have added some close-ups below.

  2. That will be a fantastic banner. As a matter of fact, it's a wonderful start for anything it could end to be.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I do try to respond to each one but
if you do not hear from me it is probably because you are a "no reply blogger".
