Quilters Guild A.G.M. Swansea

Well, I did it. I was a trader at this years Quilters Guild A.G.M. and it was wonderful.
Obviously I was hoping to do well, and I can say that I am very pleased with the results. What I hadn't anticipated on was having a fantastic time as well. I met so many lovely people who were so very kind and encouraging, and I chatted with a number of luminaries in the quilting world which was a thrill.
I particularly want to mention the lovely ladies of Vectis Quilters who apart from being wonderful customers were full of encouragement and gave me lots of ideas for the future. (Thank you to Irene particularly)
I also want to say a big thank you to Wendy, for having given me this opportunity.

Now I want to mention the fact that my friend Cath received 2nd place in the Sue Ridgwell Challenge at the A.G.M. and I am so pleased for her. Those of you out there that know Cath will know that she really deserves this. Well done Cath!

The theme for the challenge was Jewels from the Sea. Each section on this 24 x 24 inch quilt was different and beautifully done. The nice thing about this win is that it was chosen by the votes of the attendees

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I do try to respond to each one but
if you do not hear from me it is probably because you are a "no reply blogger".
