Green Valley Quilters

I spent the weekend at an exhibition put on by a group situated near Cwmbran called Green Valley Quilters. I was given a very warm welcome and was kept plied with tea and coffee all weekend. The ladies (with some help from there other halves I believe) put on a really fantastic show, packing lots into the church hall where the exhibition was held. They also decorated the beautiful old church across the street, which unfortunately I didn't get pictures of. There is something about churches and quilts that feel so right.
I met lots of wonderful people and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Below are a few photo for you to enjoy, and there are more on Gina's blog spot. She has put up a little slide show of some of the quilts. (I must learn how to do that!) She was also kind enough to give me a big mention for which I am grateful.

I must comment on this quilt by Pam. It won a Judges Merit at Malvern which in my opinion was well deserved. All stitched by hand a real labour of love that took years to complete. The more I looked at it the more it impressed me.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I do try to respond to each one but
if you do not hear from me it is probably because you are a "no reply blogger".
