To inspire you......or maybe not.
The sun was out yesterday, so I dragged the teenager from her bed and we took the dog for a walk together. This is the estuary that flows out to the sea and it changes with the ebb and flow of the tide.
Unfortunately, turn around to look the other way and this is what you see.
The frustrating thing is that this is not caused by the locals or by the visitors who come. It is all washed down river from the town. From time to time groups get together and have a big clear up but by the next tide the rubbish is back. I don't know what the answer is. I hate to see it and at some point I will probably come back and delete this!
Turn around again!
That must so annoying. We sometimes get rubbish thrown on the verges - I find it impossible to understand the mentality of people who litter :(

It's not just beaches that have this problem. We have a creek running through the property and live in a hilly area so when it rains all the rubbish some pigs throw out their car windows finds it's way down the roadsides into the gullies and, if not collected, into the creek. This includes the odd disposable nappy!! URK.

such a beautiful area - and such a shame that the selfish folk don't think about the consequences of their thoughtless actions - the 'it doesn't bother/affect me' attitude is very much prevalent in today's society - and they're usually the first to say 'the government should do something'...god forbid they accept responsibility and accountability for what they themselves do. OK, off my soapbox now..
