This is where it all started for me but times change and now all of my blogging takes place over at my

Preparing the background for number three.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon preparing the background for my next piece.
I was looking forward to pulling out my needle felting machine.
I had bought myself a new set of embellishing needles and I was good to go.

Not sure if the gold accents are going to stay yet

After breaking NINE of the twelve needles I got there but not without a few expletives on the way.
I spent £15 in needles on one project!!

Got there in the end :)

  1. Hi, Deborah. Beautiful piece in the making. Love how you're stitching it and your depth of color is impressive.
    best, nadia

  2. I really need to add a touch app to my blog - OMG - love the texture of this - wish I could feel it!

  3. I am a sucker for texture. Bravo! Can't wait to see where you take this.

  4. This looks really interesting. I would love to see you in action making one of these.

  5. lovely, but what won earth as the problem with the needles? is this done by hand or an embelishing machine? I've got the 5 needle clover thingy, but not used an embellisher

  6. OH NO that is terrible! I hope the problem is worked out and working. The project is looking fabulous though if that is any consolation!

  7. Deborah that blaze of yellow is utterly joyful! Can't wait to see what happens next! PS so empathise with the needle breaking - sometimes......

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I do try to respond to each one but
if you do not hear from me it is probably because you are a "no reply blogger".
