working, post jubilee, wednesday

I have not done a working wednesday for a while, but this is what I have been up to.
A lot of stitching, as seen above and below.

Oh, and I have also been doing a lot of this...

and this...

and this...

...which basically means a lot of eating and watching the telly!!!

And I am not ashamed to say that I have loved every minute of it!

One of the highlights for me has been this.

Comments

  1. Can't see the last two pictures (f they're videos that would explain it 'cuz I can't see videos at work), but love the last one of Her Madg grinning widely. There was another candid I saw of her and the grandsons on the balcony (she was wearing blue, I believe) where she looked like she was laughing uproariously with them. Loved it!

It must be a bit of a letdown now that it's all done. I'm glad it's done only because the grumblers about the cost that would have been better spent at home, yada yada(we sent 1M or 7M depending on whose report you believe)(and it is too true, really - but she's our Queen too, so I guess we have to pony up even if our economy doesn't benefit from it like yours does)... ANYWAY lol (Help! I'm talking and I can't shut up!)

Glad it's over 'cuz now I don't have to listen to the grumblers.

Also, and on topic - :0) - love those raspberry colours. Delicious!

  2. also also (see above about I can't stop talking) - What is up with the new "image" portion of the captcha. Could it be any more illegible?

  3. Oh those fabric pieces are so so tantalising
It's been an amazing weekend all round but now it's back to 'normality' whatever that is ;o)

  4. I had a ball watching it all on the telly too and I'm with Kit about the grumblers (don't get me started!). The Queen looked beautiful and I loved seeing them all bopping gently on the barge :-)

I'm also with Kit about the word verification, it's gone very silly.

  5. Love seeing your stitches, up close, really wonderful work.

I have not watched any of the jubilee except when they show it on the news. Half the time I have no idea what I am watching on tv, I tend to get involved in my project and pay no attention, lol.

  7. I wonder what will happen to the commonwealth kids and adults that came over to perform ?
Will they fade back into obscurity or have more fruitful lives afterwards?
SUch a touchign piece of music all round, that song.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I do try to respond to each one but
if you do not hear from me it is probably because you are a "no reply blogger".
