Red Day

It seems like an absolute age since I have done any fabric painting. I have completed a few orders, but haven't found the time to paint for myself.
I gave a workshop at the beginning of the week as you can see from these pics.

For some reason there was a lot of red paint left over so I have been playing today to use it up.
I personally love red but it is not a colour that sells particularly well on the Internet as I don't think it shows up well on computer screens. It must be that as it always sells at shows etc.

Anyway I have added some Vermilion which is a more pink red, and put in some gold and copper accents.

I have used up lots of odd pieces of cotton and folded and pleated and scrunched them and am now eagerly awaiting the results. I have an idea for an art quilt which will need reds so this will not be wasted, (and it was fun just playing)

I have also taken delivery of new paints as my stocks were getting low. I have purchased the bigger versions of the copper, gold and pearlescence paints as I am using them more and more.

I have also gone for the bigger size of my basic colours. can't wait to get stuck into them.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I do try to respond to each one but
if you do not hear from me it is probably because you are a "no reply blogger".
