One down...
The stitching on this piece is done.
It's not that easy to see on the screen but believe me it is covered in lots of rows of stitching in a clear mono filament.
I will admit to taking a quick, easy option with the stitching because time is of the essence.
The binding is on but not stitched down yet hence the cropped images:)
Here is a peek of the next one in progress.
It is beautiful (as always), and yes, I can see how much stitching went into it, x.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous, and I like "soaring" too.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Size?
ReplyDeleteThat really came out beautifully and love the colors and shades you used to achieve the effect.

Soaring is lovely. I really enjoy your beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Soaring is beginning to stick.
DeleteIts wonderful! how about 'striving for higher' like Jonathon Livingston Seagull lol
ReplyDeleteSuch a feeling of lightness and freedom. Very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat is something I was hoping to achieve, so thank you.
DeleteVery nice Deborah! I like how the squares aren't in rows in your second one. Did you dye the fabrics or find them somewhere? That would have taken a lot of collecting!
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely! So evocative of the ocean!
ReplyDeleteI love these pieces! The word I would choose to use for a title is "Free". Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI just LUV how you created that background with laid down patches. So perfect!
ReplyDeletebest, nadia
