Is it a plane? Is it a bird?

Well actually it is a bird, which I am sure you will know if you have read this blog before:)

The bird has actually been painted and been ready to go for a while, but I have been dragging my heels, as I decide how to proceed with the stitching.

Do I follow the same route as Soar I and Soar II, which are intensively stitched but doesn't take a lot of thinking. Or do I change tack?

  1. When I work in a series, I try to use the same technique throughout the series. I think you should stay on track.

  3. Really striking ...........depends I guess if you want him to appear 3D like?
He'll meld in, heavily stitched, but perhaps lighter stitch technique might make him appear higher above the 'ground' and nearer to the eye...........as it were?
lol Well I know what I mean!!
Mind you, your fingers are magical so I know he'll be a Treasure whatever you do with him/her ~

  4. I love your intensive stitching! I love your seagulls soaring! I love it when you swerve left! You will make the right choice.

  5. I think that they look great but I would stick with the same technique (although I'm not an artist). Really nice work.

  8. I'm a big fan of intense quilting and it was so successful with Soar I and II. I'd say do it again. All three pieces are gorgeous!

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I do try to respond to each one but
if you do not hear from me it is probably because you are a "no reply blogger".
