Being Courageous!
For most of this month I have been taking Stephanie Levy's Creative Courage e-course.
It has been a good way to begin the year and has helped me to set my goals and get my priorities in place.
One thing it has helped me with is creating what I want to create rather than what I think I ought to create.
These are the results so far.
I don't know what you were doing before, since I only began following at the start of Stephanie's class, but these are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm ... yes, I can relate to that. I feel some changes coming up, too. And your work is wonderful, just wonderful!! - do you plan to sell prints of it?
ReplyDeleteGreat pieces here, lovely interpretations
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! Wonderful color choices.
ReplyDeleteyou are defo on the right track then - these are glorious
ReplyDeleteThe second one is breathtaking!
ReplyDelete(though all are gorgeous).
Sadly, Stephanie's class has only made me annoyed about spending the money on it when I could have purchased some great encaustic materials with it - but I'm really glad it's helped you! Each artist to their own path. :)
P.S. Like your new blog design!
ReplyDeleteWow, these are absolutely amazing! I've found Stephanie's class equally inspiring. Looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful work. I would love to know exactly how you've done these? I don't work with fabric at all so I'm curious.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite a balancing act, isn't it; what you or others think you ought to do, and what you want to do. I think it is difficult when what you do for fun and work overlaps like it does for many artists.
ReplyDeleteGood for you finding your balance; I am looking forward to get mine back too.
Lovely, lovely tranquil views.
ReplyDeleteThese pieces are divine and your painted fabrics come to life with the quilting
ReplyDeleteThe results are stunning! Very courageous.
