my choices
Well, the Spring Blogger's Quilt Festival is almost at a close. This time I showed this quilt over on my Quilt Routes blog, because that is where I featured it.
I must admit to feeling completely overwhelmed by the amount of quilts to see and I didn't really get around to viewing them all, but like last time I wanted to share my favourites with you.
The first quilt that caught my eye was this one from Frauke at Quilthexle.
The next that caught my eye was this one from Leanne at shecanquilt.

This was one of those quilts that has a story that grabs your heart.
I urge you to go here and read the post.

I loved quilt for the texture obtained from the intense straight line quilting and the way the those bright colours pop against the pale grey background. More details here.
I have just noticed that these two are next to each other on the Quilt Festival blog!
Anyway, because I am lazy and I have not got around to asking any one else's permission to use their photos I will just add that in case you haven't seen them I don't think you will be wasting your time if you go and have a look here, and here. I could go on...apologies to those I did not get around to visiting.
Plus, every time I visited the festival page this fella kept catching my eye!
OMG, isn't Mari's quilt INCREDIBLE?
ReplyDeleteWhen she was making it I came making fan-girly comments and when it was finally done, I was all "This is what I aspire to". Amazing.
And thanks for including mine in your list! :)
Er... that's "kept making fan-girly comments..." lol
ReplyDeleteThank you Deborah, it is so nice that you liked my quilt.
