Proof, if it were needed...
...that spring is later this year. I have shared photos of my Clematis Montana before, a whole month earlier
in April.
I have been trying/hoping that it would to trail over the back wall but it has a mind of it's own!
I have promised that after flowering I will prune it this year...
...but until then I am enjoying it in all it's glory right outside my shed/workspace door.
Beautiful flowers, love seeing everything in bloom.

What a glorious plant to have right outside your work space. Love clematis.
ReplyDeletehow beautiful - i can't grow these at all - i've tried heaps of times - the only one laughing is the nursery man!...and it's coming on for winter here so not a lot is blooming!
ReplyDeleteI always cut off those wayward tendrils with no harm normally done.
ReplyDeleteBut last year I thinned out my montana at years end and blow me, its taken a huff and has only flowered here and there this year lol so my advice?
just cut back the airbourne tendrils lolol
